Nothing a Little Fairy Dust Can’t Fix

DSC_6841

I have been wanting to share a more up close and personal view a fun project I made that is suited for any sweet little girl’s room.  I found a white wooden base at Michaels and with a little help from the magic maker of the Silhouette, I cut the sentiment on vinyl and the wand star on DCWV Glitter paper (which cut like butter including all the stitching holes along the border).

After I transferred the vinyl sentiment onto the white base, I painted it using purple spray paint.  As the paint was drying, I dusted the sign with fine glitter. I  allowed it to dry and then removed the vinyl, exposing the white undercoat of the wooden base.

To finish the wand, I ran Hemptique Bamboo Baker’s Twine (the best baker’s twine I have ever worked with!) through the wand and finished with a crinkle ribbon bow and gem. I added a paper straw as a base to the wand and added a few more gems to the corner of the sign.

This is probably one of my favorite projects I have made right now and I have a feeling I will be making a ton of these for all the little girls I know!

Thanks for sharing a piece of “fairy dust is just magical” pie with me.
