More Fun Cards and Gift Ideas . . .

I find it hard to mak cards for grown men.  My husband’s sister and family were in from out-of-town and both his sister and her husband’s birthday are this month.  They came over for dinner last night and I whipped together these two cards and gift ideas yesterday kind of on the fly.  They loved them and the card was not too girly for a manly man!

Supplies Needed:

Paper was from Die Cuts with a View Summer Stacker

Stamp was from Tart and Tangy – Stampin’ Up and Pink Stamper

Ribbon – even though there was no brown in the actual paper theme, I thought it complemented the theme and added some masculinity to it.

Tin gift box with window – Michael’s – He loves M&M’s so I filled it with those.

Scallop was from Storybook Cricut Cartridge (Shadow Setting -M) I made it at 2 inches.

I used Martha Stewart craft markers to color the stamps.

Cherry Card:  I added a loose tea leaf ball that she could use for brewing her loose leaf tea that she wanted.

For the cherry card – see my pervious post on the details:

A Spin on a Going Away Card

We just had friends come and visit us before they head to plant their life in Oregon.  I wanted to send them off with a little something that they could remember all of their close friends they are leaving behind.  I made this for everyone to sign and then we added gift cards and other gifts.  I framed it in a white frame that was matted for 8×10 pictures so they could hang it in their new home office.

Spreading the Patriotic Cheer One Gold Nugget at a Time

This 4th, I decided to move away from the traditional Red, White and Blue muffins I make and pass out to the neighbors for the 4th of July.  I found this idea on the Pink Stamper video logs and turned little take-out boxes into a patriotic treat anyone would love to grace their front door.

Supplies Needed:

Small to-go boxes ( I found these in a pack of 10 at Michael’s)

Bag of Hershey Nuggets

Scrapbook paper cut into strips 3 inches long and 1 inch wide ( I used the 4th of July themed paper from Die Cuts with a View Summer Stacker.)

Adhesive

Cricut Cartridge Celebrations (tag was 3 inches)

Cricut Cartridge Storybook (label was 2 inches)

String of stars to attach the tag to the box ( I found this on clearance at Joann’s)

Stamp was from The Pink Stamper collection

Ink was Basic Black from Stampin’ Up.
