A Little Halloween Recap!

Well as I am building my small crafty-craft empire, I just added a Facebook page into the mix.  Please take a moment and add yet another one of those annoying “LIKE” pages by clicking HERE!  I would love to see you and have you be a crafty “facebook official” friend!

It is Thursday and it feels like fall today!  It has been in the 90’s and now it is rainy and 55!   This weather makes me want to bake!  So I have been busy in the kitchen making goodies!

Here is a little recap of our Halloween!  Since we have small children, I wanted to make pumpkin carving super fun and easy.  My kids love to paint and they love Sesame Street so when I saw this inspiration from Pinterest, I just had to run with it AND yes, I used my Ciruct! 🙂

We ended up making an Elmo, Abby Cadabby and Cookie Monster pumpkin heads.  The girls had a blast painting and cutting out the simple mouth I traced.  I cut 3 inch circles from Mini Monograms for the eyes and then added big googly eyes.   For Abby Cadabby, I found some pink tulle and used zip ties on each end looping the ends and cutting then to poof it out.  I added purple ribbon and then attached everything with hot glue.

My kids were fun characters- A kitty and a cowgirl and they made out with the candy!

Thanks for sharing a piece of  “making Halloween have a bit of a “sunny day” theme to it” pie with me

I am a stay at home domestic engineer that has a love for my family, food, writing, crafting, photography and most of all a clean and orderly house. I feel I was born in the wrong era in many things and the only thing I would change if I was a "Donna Reed or June Cleaver" kind of mom is that I would still get to wear my sweats and Crocs while washing the windows.
