Just a Wee Spot of Tea Time Birthday Gift

The hub’s best friend has been in his life for almost 30 years!  Because of that we are close with his mother.  She came to this country over 40 years ago on the Queen Mary from England.  How cool is that!   Anyway, this week is her birthday and I made her a card and got her some tea from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  I decorated that box to match the card.

Thanks for coming and sharing a piece of “tea time fun” pie with me!

Recipe:

Cricut Cartridge:  Damask Decor (I won this cart on a MPS Blog Hop Challenge back in August) For card, 3 inches – for box 2.5 inches. I also used the MPS Faux chipboard effect for the tea pot.

Card base – 8×11 cut in half then folded in half.  Fist layer 4×5.14

Box: Celebrate it – 1st layer 3.5 x 3.5

Cuttlebug: Swirls

Paper: Recollections and Bazzill –

Punch – EK Success Pok-a-dots (I used the excess that was punched out for the “bubble effect”)

Ribbon – Celebrate It

Stamps: My Pink Stamper- Sweetest Cupcake – I also won in a MPS Blog Hop Challenge back in August!  I forgot to shoot the inside of the card, but that was the sentiment.

Ink: Close to My Heart Cotton Candy

Powder Pearls – Ranger – Bistro Collection

Stickles: Diamonds

Pop dots

About apieceoflifespie

I am a stay at home domestic engineer that has a love for my family, food, writing, crafting, photography and most of all a clean and orderly house. I feel I was born in the wrong era in many things and the only thing I would change if I was a "Donna Reed or June Cleaver" kind of mom is that I would still get to wear my sweats and Crocs while washing the windows.

  2. What a cute project!! I love love love the Damask Decor cartridge! Although it’s kinda pissing me off cuz I can’t get it to load in my Imagine machine. Anyway, thanks for the sweet words about my daughter. Not every mom understands so I’m glad you do! And yes, Fletch is the best movie ever! Lol. My brother & I can pretty much recite the whole movie word for word. That’s so great that you like it too! Well, I’m getting ready to have my Goddaughter for a couple days (she’s 3) so I gotta finish securing my house! Lol. Great post! I love it!
